Sermons - 1806
An early 19th century period full leather binding. Gilt ruled smooth spine in six gilt-ruled compartments, gilt title on contrasting leather label; title label shows a couple of worm holes, leather severely chipped at spine head and tail - leather still bright and clean. Boards exhibit only the most minor age wear at corners and small leather chip on rear board. Leather on front joint cracked but board remains firmly attached. Mostly clean internally, mild foxing and an even age-toning throughout - nothing more severe than typical aging. Binding cracked down center but pages still firmly sewn in. In all, an acceptable example of scarce sermons with a relation to a well known early 19th century Portsmouth NH bookseller. Book measures c. 4 3/8" W x 7 1/8" H. 298 pp. Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
