My Little Song Book - 1843
A miniature mid-19th century original paper binding with string tied pink wraps. Printed wrap depicts a central harp on the cover and elaborate floral outlines, rear lists all 12 of the titles in the Rufus Merrill & Co.'s (two cents) Toys series; corners thumbed. Binding still holding firm. Mostly clean internally, several charming woodcuts. Songs/rhymes include "The Little Girl and the Robin", "The Cow", "The Star" (i.e.. Twinkle, Twinkle), "The Cat", "Going to Bed"," The Butterfly", "A Pretty Pear-Tree" and "Mary had a Little Lamb". A wonderfully preserved mid 19th century children's book by this well known Concord NH publisher.
