Books are actually dark green.
Six volume set in period 1/4 Italian dark green leather bindings, gilt-ruled bands, gilt titles and decorative devices on smooth leather spines, engraved frontis.
In VG to VG+ condition, gently worn, some edge splitting at joints to the supple leather, some minor wear, a few tiny worm holes, but overall bindings sound and tight, internally with minor light scattered foxing and some circular blind stamps from a former Seminary. Still, nice shelf appearance and very worthy of ownership by a collector. A very scarce set indeed.
Each volume measures c. 5" x 7 1/2."
