Complete set, nine volumes, RARE. Period 1/4 Italian (almost certainly Venetian) leather bindings, gilt-ruled bands, decorative gilt devices in spine compartments, marbled boards and edges. Title pages display an ornate circular 19th century blindstamp from some European religious institution.
In VG+ condition, only very gently worn, bindings sound and tight, very clean internally.
Each volume measures c. 6 1/2" W x 9 1/2 H". Volume 1: 1110 pages, volume 2: 1265 pages, volume 3: 1210 pages, volume 4:1215 pages, volume 5: 1188 pages, volume 6: 1198 pages, volume 7: 1208 pages, volume 8: 1158 pages, volume 9: pages.
Stately shelf impression, a fine set. Still useful text.
