VG to VG+ condition, full period calf, hinges and joints firm and holding firmly, leather spine label in contrasting red with gilt. Small bump at bottom edge of front joint, some minor scattered foxing but mostly clean, text block tight. In all, a nice example of this interesting mid-19th century law book. At the rear are 35 wood engraved seals for all the states which were then currently part of the US.
Uncommon thus.
Measures c. 7 " H x 5 " W. Please note- the photo lighting makes it appear the front board has split away from the joint- it has NOT- it is firm and tight.
