In VG+ condition, gently worn, rear board a bit soiled, cloth nicked and fraying in spots, binding tight, gilt still bright and attractive, very clean internally, a couple of the tipped-in photogravure plates loose. In all, a pleasing example of this nice photographic book relating to the Netherlands at the latter part of the 19th century. The photogravures were printed by Annan & Swan, London. Davies was a photographer of some renown, who exerted pictorial influences within his country.
Measures 8" x 10 1/2." 379 pages.
A splendid pictorial book, the rare deluxe version with the additional fine photographic plates.
