Full leather, with gilt embossed boards and spine. Gilt-lettered title on spine, which has raised bands in six compartments. Steel-engraved frontis and title page. 15 additional steel engravings, and 23 woodcuts, of maps and illustrations.
In VG+ condition. Gorgeous period full leather binding, elaborately gilt decorated. some rubbing, but still most appealing example of ornate mid-19th century binding.
